I remember writing my first song at the age of 9, scribbling words together on a bit of paper whilst singing a melody, using a pencil to show when the melody went higher or lower. I remember being embarrassed to show my family, but at the same time I was listening outside the door eager to hear their thoughts. That's my earliest memory of creativity, of discovering that I could create my own melody and put words to it, and I don't think that fascination has ever left me.
Being brought up in a musical family meant that I’ve been around music for as long as I can remember, starting to learn the piano at the age of 8, and guitar at 14. I played my first gig at the age of 16 with a band from school, and have been performing music ever since, whether my own songs, or other people’s.
I released my debut album in December 2017, ‘Simple Life’, and followed this up with the single ‘Still I Do’ released in April 2020 with Anna Krantz, which reached number 8 in the iTunes singer/songwriter chart.
